Drawing & Painting – Part of My Healing Process
July 25, 2023

During my recovery, I prioritized sleep to allow my body to heal. I was able to efficiently work during the 4 to 5 hours that I was awake, even though I was working remotely. I owe a debt of gratitude to my exceptional and compassionate manager, who made my health a top priority.

I relished my weekend waking hours by drawing and painting flowers with watered-down acrylic paint. This activity allowed me to hone my artistic skills and helped me concentrate on the task. As someone who loves orchids, plumeria, and all flowering plants, it felt natural to start drawing them. These are some pictures I’ve created, featured in this blog post.

Amidst my illness, I discovered that artistic expression through drawing and painting was a remarkably soothing and therapeutic activity. Engaging in such an enjoyable and calming pastime can significantly aid in the healing process, especially when one’s energy levels are depleted. It was the perfect way to spend my days during that time.

As you move forward, it’s crucial to prioritize your physical and mental well-being. Take a moment to laugh at yourself every once in a while, as it can help boost your spirits. Remember that time passes quickly, so be sure to savor the journey. Please take care of yourself and stay healthy and safe!
